AIR goes online

All India Radio launched its multilingual website on 7th November 2007. It also show cases the latest technique of Webcasting for the Audio of radio news bulletins broadcast from NSD Headquarters at Delhi and various Regional News Unit across the country. The new Archiving and Search facility will help internet users access any new story or audio of news bulletin on the website.
This website was supposed to contain the archives of news bulletines stored in mp3 format. But, the site newsonair.com has poor navigation and doesn’t showcase a news archive. There’s a slightly old site, http://www.newsonair.nic.in/, that contains the news archive. Today, I took an inventory of the archive; Its all there!, upto date.
