LG wants to say "Life’s Better!" in India

LG logo LG Electronics is planning to invest Rs. 360 crore in India on brand positioning and marketing this year, so as to gain market leadership. In the last year the expenditure for brand building and other marketting initiatives was Rs. 320 crores.

Main focus of LG Electronics India, would be in Flat panel display products, PC and Peripherals and GSM mobile phones. Company is targeting 40% market share in the premium seqgment of consumer electronics and home appliances by 2010. At present, it claims to have reached 20-30% already.

LG Electronics India has also launched a unique customer service initiative called ‘211’ in 22 cities, which it will extend to 18 more locations by March this year.

LG India has manufacturing units in Noida and Pune and rolls out 12 different products at the facilities. LG India posted revenues of Rs 9,500 crore in 2007 and expects 15 per cent top line growth in 2008.
