Sony launches two new Walkman PMPs with built-in speakers

Few, never forget the success stories! Sony continues to innovate and bring in more juice under the same old trademark Walkman.

Sony India has added two new Portable Media Players to its Walkman Video MP3 player family. The new PMPs under NWZ-S540 and NWZ-E440 series, brings in enhanced audio technologies and awesome features to the Walkman family. Apart from audio goodies, they feature slim and compact frame.

The S540 series integrates Sony’s new Digital Linear Phase Speaker System, which is claimed to offer natural sound reproduction and powerful bass, within a slim outfit. The best of the features is extended battery life, averaged to 42 hours of music and 6.5 hours of video playback.

For someone who wants start their day with a music, these new Walkmans offer “wake-up call”. Also incorporated are the voice and FM recording and multi-codec support to play almost all formats.

They come in different capacities, one with 4GB (NWZ-S540 4GB costs Rs.6,990/- and E440 costs Rs. 5,990/-) and other with 8GB (E440 8GB costs Rs. 6,990/-)
